وقد استنتجت الدراسة التي تم إجرائها بجامعة State University في كاليفورنيا إلى أن الأفراد الذين قاموا بسرد القصة بمثانة ممتلئة كانوا هم الأكثر إقناعًا من المجموعة الأخرى. وقد فسر الباحثون تلك النتيجة بأن القيام بحبس البول يحتاج قدرًا كبيرًا من السيطرة على النفس وتلك الحالة تعمل على تنشيط خلايا عصبية محددة في المخ وهي المسؤولة عن الكذب والخداع.
التعامل مع الكاذب
يوضح الشيخ علي الربيعي طرق التعامل مع الكاذب ويخبرنا أن هناك طريقتين للتعامل معه وذلك تبعًا لنوع الكذب وهما كالتالي:
التعامل مع الشخص الذي يقول الكذب غير الضار: يمكنك في هذه فضح الكذبة وأحرص على إبقاء الشخص الكاذب مرتاحًا. أي محاولة تحاشي إحراج الكاذب وعدم وضعه بموقف سيء وحاول إظهار التفهم للكاذب بقبوله وحاول الغفران له.
